#2 is an agressive cleaner and I wouldn't recommend that anyone just go out and buy it without having tried less agressive methods first. In your situation Dark Knight GT it may have worked but, that is not going to always be the case with everyone. #2 fine cut cleaner will haze your paint if it is not used by rotary because the cleaners need the high speed to break down properly.

It is always best to start off with a mild cleaner and if that fails than move to something slightly more agressive and so on until you find one that will do the job. Eventually you will learn what will do the job from the beginning and you won't have to go through a whole list of products to find the correct one.
