I know this is slightly off topic, but does anyone know if a Cobra Brake kit will work on a 2003 Mercury Marauder without any modifications??? Thanks for the help.

Does Baer make a 13" kit? Baer's front setup is basically the same as the Cobra 13" rotor and PBR caliper setup.

If they do have this kit, you can look into what Baer needed to do to make it fit the Marauder such as spindle modifications and whatnot.

And then you can buy the cheaper Cobra brake parts

that upgrade kit is for chagning out the older 92-97 panther chassis brakes to the newer panther chassis brakes.

Further down the page it does say

( For the ULTIMATE brakes on your Town Car, die hard enthusiasts
might want to consider using 13" Mustang Cobra front rotors and
accompanying calipers. These require modifications, however, to bolt
onto a Panther vehicle, including the use of even larger wheels. This
upgrade is beyond the scope of this article. Check out
http://www.CrownVic.net or http://www.CrownVic.org for more
information. )

So i assume it can be done, however no direct link is provided.

I also assume the Marauder comes with the 12" dual piston brakes mentioned in the article. Is it worth it to upgrade 1"

i dont really thnk its worth it either. i think Brembo does make a 4 piston caliper kit, but its in the $2500-3500 range.

havent read that article in a long time. i do know that in 2003 they changed the panther platform to a rack and pinion steering system from a parrallelogram system. not sure if the spindles have changed a lot when they did that but it could affect brake fitment.
