because if you have the rca's in the wrong jacks, part of it will work and the other part won't. i remember doing this myself, just move up or down, depending on where you have them and each time you do turn the volume up to see if it makes a difference.
do you have 2 pairs of jacks or 3 pairs on the back of that head unit?
