Metric Speedometer

Has anybody ever messed with a metric speedo??? What I need to know is if anybody has ever converted a metric to an english(standard). I understand that the basic difference is the face plate. I need to know if I would be able to alter/replace the odometer parts to read in english(standard).

Or, should I save my money and just get mine recalibrated for $60 from BBK/Brothers Performance

i would just find an english one and swap the whole thing in.. Shouldnt be much money.. I got an entire gauge cluster (140mph) on ebay for 40 bucks..

BTW - The above mentioned $60 is for calibration and white face gauge kit. I think I'll probably go that route.
