Did you keep the shift stops? I hear that it is not needed on the 3650 but do I need them in on the T45? Thanks.

I would say use the stops on a T45 for sure. Make sure you leave a little room with the shifter in 3rd and 4th to avoid the car popping out of gear.

Yeah def.. I followed the directions. Tighten to the shaft when in 2nd, then back out one full turn.. do the same thing for the rear stop with the car in 4th. I'm gonna go with what MGW says on this one

Yes, the T45 NEEDS the shift stops. The T3650 does not however. So just follow MGWs directions and you'll be all set. You'll like the shifter

i've got the b&m shifter and when i put it in the instructions said they were phasing out the use of shift stops becuase they were really not nececary. I have a t45 and not had any problems with it in over a year.

I think the t-45 may have stops as well? I can rember reading a tech post were the tremec people said no stops on either tranny because I did set my stops. I though it may be bad but they even said stops are only bad if they come out of ajustment. it is in between shifts that kill the tranny.

t-45 is from 99-mid 01

mid01-05 is 3650

call tremec. they designed the tranny they know for sure.
