I just got my MGW sportsman (blue) handle and installed it yesterday. It took me about 45 min to install. I must say it does look awkward but it feels nice. The MGW is considerably shorter and stockier looking than the stock shifter, but I like it.

As for driving....it takes some getting used to, the throws are SHORT now. I kind of have some "whine" when im cruising through a gear at the same mph.

Only problem I have with it is: I hear like a "plastic on plastic" rattling noise. Its wierd, and its coming from the shifter. I would say its coming from that little plastic piece that you put over the shifter ball that goes directly into the transmission. This noise normal?

No friggin way, my friend - I've never seen such a large group of people constantly writing new threads and new posts about this fockin' shifter. People love the Pro 5.0, people love the Tri-Ax. People get gay over the MGW. It's a whole different air to it.
That's why I keep saying, "My God people, it's ONLY a shifter".

I don't understand your post - "Your the one making a big deal about the posts, you know about a shifter.... " - huh? Yes, I know about two shifters - the Tri-Ax and the Pro 5.0. Own 'em both. Both are much better than stock, offer solid shifting, can't miss 3rd (self-centering) and their handles can be interchanged with each other or other aftermarket handles. They are both very strong and very durable. Race Proven.
If it is that good (I still say, it is just a shifter) then can we not start one thread and have everyone post their cute little stories in that one thread, rather than have a new daily MGW thread, telling the world how great this shifter is, blows the rest away, I use this handle, but I might use the other handle, it comes with great instructions, oh-my-god it is just wonderful, my dad drove it and said this, then my mom drove it, but then I think she rode it etc, etc, etc - enough already.

i was merely informing everyone of my observations, good and bad, which i feel may not have been included in previous posts. besides if there are more threads likd this where someone reviews a part, they will be a good chance that there will be fewer "What are your opinions about -----", or "Anyone have -----?", etc.... because people will come up with better results when they SEARCH!

Yeah, we need less MGW threads and maybe afew more C@L threads. Then maybe you can figure out how to install it correctly.

Stop opening the threads if you don't want to hear. I stopped opening threads on "Which gear should I get?" There are an awful lot of those too

Yes I agree there are is an awful lot of MGW threads.

But when you put a new toy in your car. Wouldn't you like to share your feelings on it?

Do you realize how many threads are "Should I get a Tri or 5.0?" and they didn't even know that the MGW existed?

I was looking at getting a Tri, then I noticed a bunch of people jumping ship from 5.0s and Tri's for the MGW. I looked at it and thought that it was a quality piece and it was getting very good reviews. I bought and am very pleased.

I have driven cars with Tri's and 5.0s and yes they are nice, but they are noiser(tri xpecially) then the MGW, and slightly longer (1/2" tops).

The MGW is spring loaded to center too and shifts are solid and percise like the tri's and 5.0s. I like the feel of the MGW over the the others because I don't have to reach for 5th like I did with the tri's and 5.0s, there is less buzzing in the interior, and there is a postive feedback that you are in gear.

Wow - you gained 3 whole HP with the C&L package. And I wouldn't consider Diablo "custom" - it's off the shelf. You're just blowin' smoke, dude.

It's a "Custom Tune" for the fact that the Performance Tune the Diablo has is'nt being utilized. The Tune is returned to Factory tune and the A/F and Timing is adjusted through a series of modes you can access. Damn man, you set yourself up too easy.

Why don't you stop making yourself look like a complete idiot.

The nice thing about a Diablo Predator is the ability to tune things. BUT you can also get a Diablo to make a custom tune for the Predator if you need to add more fuel, timing, take something out of the EEC.... Which goes far and beyond the "Off the shelf" tune that you are thinking.

I have a custom tune from Diablo, Several members in my club have custom tunes from Diablo for the predator.

You need to check yourself be for you get wrecked...

Why don't you go **** yourself?
So, you call Diablo tune custom because you screw with a couple settings (changes that as so minimal that they hardly make any actual change)? You're suddenly a custom tuner? OK, I guess you could look at it that way - whatever.

So you buy the Diablo, and scrap the 'performance tune' it comes with, then play with the A/F and Timing yourself - yep, that's custom alright. Wait, let me guess, you had to richen the A/F ratio because of the C&L MAF (since, as most people know, it just simply leans the motor out)?
Go ahead, continue to defend that stupid C&L MAF while the rest of the Mustang world knows better - dumba$$.
