I have a 93 Mustang.
5.0 Ford Racing Crate motor from 2006. 345 flywheel hp.
Running BBK long tube headers.
Drag car only.
Could it drop ET from a H-Pipe or X-pipe
Thanks for any info!

Are you running open headers now?
An eighteen inch pipe off the header collector will net a little more h.p.

Yes. I am running the open headers now.
I have approximately an 8 to 10 inch pipe off the collector

It's a wash.

You get a little more peak HP from an X or a little more torque at the bottom from an H.

I mean... Unless you're setup to redline [right at] the finish line, foggetaboutit.

The graph above is a higher HP Coyote but: Take your FHP as a percentage of what is on the graph and multiply it by the improvements seen above and that will give you an idea. So, a 7 peak HP gain in the graph above would mean roughly (all things being equal) a best of 5-6 HP peak gain.

To me, the juice is not worth the squeeze. Pick whichever one [sounds] the best.

It's not apples to apples but it should give some idea.

My rpms are 6000 to 6100 at the finish line

Drag car, so I assume it's WOT the entire time, high RPMs. Really need to compare the power curves of open headers vs H/X pipe in a drag application.

Street car will benefit, but in this case I'm not so sure. Really all depends on weight of car, gearing, etc.
