Installing a Bassani 5 piece Midpipe, with the straight pipe instead of the cats.
The straight pipe just connects by way of expanded pipe and sliding them in and clamping them.

Here's the questions, do I slide the pipe into the expanded pipe as far as it will go or what?
Do I just put the clamps at the very end of the expanded piece?

Do I use silicone on these connections?
How about on the ball joint connections?
The passenger side header connection?

Please drop me some info if you have success in this install.

MMFF did an install on these a couple of months ago. They suggested leaving everything loose untill you have everything put together, then tighten everything up.This will allow everything to fit together on it's own.Don't use any kind of sealer on the exhaust, just tighten it up and look for leaks. Then tighten some more. You will get smoke and the smell of things burning but this is normal for the first few miles.

I have the SLP pipe with removable cats. once every thing was together i tightened it up. Once it is all done start the car up while on jackstands to make sure there are no leaks. Mine leaked from the driverside cat, and i had to jack it up again and retighten everything.
