Hey all, I have a 2000 GT with 100700 miles on it and was wondering if adding Steeda pulleys at this time would be worth it? I know they free up some power, and improve engine efficiency but would upgrades like this be cost effective for its mileage?

You will probably pick up a little. Not sure if you will feel it in the seat of the pants or not. But it probably will increase mpg a touch also. Many have claimed it does. I havnt put pullies on a modular but on my old 91 gt it got a little more MPG out of it and a little bit of power. Its def. not a step backwards :nice:

i also wanted to know the same exact thing lol i have a 01 with like 101xxx miles on it. so do you think it will benefit the car as far as lasting a little longer?

I have a March crank pulley on my gt...it seemed to rev a little faster after install...sotp ehh...a little maybe, im sure it picked up a couple of ponies on the dyno....i wouldn't say it's a bad mod, but don't do it if you ever want to supercharge your car. It will mess with how fast the supercharger pulley spins and won't allow for the proper amount of boost. (don't know the tech term for this!)

I put a set on at 150K and have had no issues. That was 25K ago. Milage on your motor should not matter, pullies and dampers are not wear items. It would be a good time to check your waterpump shaft for wear and your damper oil seal though.
