Mini photoshoot with new s281 spoiler!

Hello everybody i havent posted in a while since I have been busy wrapping up school and looking for a new career. Anyway i just put on the s281 spoiler i had in the garage for 8 months and decided to take some pics. I also had a question for any of you that may know. I got keyed a few weeks ago because of some jealous A*Hole and I attempted wetsanding the deep scratch on my own and stupidly used p800 grit instead of the finer 1000 and above. Now my clear coat where i sanded is hazy and rubbing compound nor buffing does the trick. Do i need to wet sand those scratches out with a finer grit? Any suggestions would be helpful it is unsightly. Anyway let me know what you think.

Try wetsanding with 2,000 grit then use a dremel with small buffer wheel and use rubbing compound do a 4x4" square at a time with the rubbing compound worked for me.

It might not work 100% due to that you used 800 grit but it should look almost stock.

If you see color it needs to be recleared.

If you burned through the clearcoat with that 800 grit, you'll have to re-clear the whole door to get it to shine and look right. A Dremel spins at much higher speeds than buffing requires. (Buffing=300-1000rpms...Dremel=10000rpm+. NOT GOOD.)

You might try to "cut in" some clear coat but I'm afraid you'd see the lines between new and old. ("Cut in" means to just spot clear an area while not going all the way to the edges of the panel.)

The car looks really good, anyway. ;)
