Mini Review of Xcal3 and bama

Worth every cent.

That mini enough for you? Seriously though, I wish this would have been my first mod (after exhaust). Tune is outstanding, bama really does know what they are doing.

I supposed I can't really describe to you how much better it is, but this should be a good indication... I have a 2000 Auto with Prochamber + dynomax exhaust, a K&N drop in, rebuilt tranny, new torque converter and the tune.... My friend has a 2005 manual with American Thunder exhaust, throttle body spacer and AirRaid CAI. We dragged before and after the tune. Before it was as expected, he won by a length or two if not more depending on whether it was a roll or from a standstill. After the tune I pull on him. From a stand still we are dead even, his grippier tires gives him a better launch but I SLOWLY pull from then on until we shut it down, without a good launch he can't keep up. Merging onto the highway I jumped on it and he tried to keep up (this is before we dragged) at our turn around point he got out with this shocked look laughing in disbelief and said "That thing is a ****ing rocket". That alone was worth every cent.

Also spinning into third hard enough to rock the car sideways at 150ish km/h is pretty damn amazing. Only problem with the new tune is jumping on it equals roasted tires. Cannot get traction for the life of me... that's a good problem to have. (245's)

Thread may seem pointless, but I know these threads that popped up pushed me into buying one while I was searching and I hope it helps you out as well.

PS: Using the 91R tune.

The biggest thing I noticed were he changes to the transmission. The ramapped shift points and shift firmness was insane. With the 4.10's it got to be almost downright dangerous, fishtailing from every shift in normal driving. They were so aggressive that I had them rewrite my tunes to include 2 race tunes, 1 of which retained the stock transmission settings that i use for daily driving. I retune using the race tune and upgraded tranny settings when I go to the track or just want to go out and kick some ass.
