Mini Starter

Hi,
I'm planning on a 408W carbed stroker motor for my 89LX, and was wondering what is the best mini starter to use for this application to avoid heat/clearance issues with the L/T headers??...suggestions and comments are greatly appreciated...thanx

There are a few threads on ministarters... You can pick up a starter from a 93 mustang. It's about 1/2 the weight and size of the ones used in 1989.

I picked mine up for $100 canadian, shipped to my door.........
Haven't installed it, being the car is stripped though

My 93 Tbird came with one of there newer mini starters. It had 190,000 miles on it when I did the 393 stroker. Since I was real tight on cash, I decided to see if it would work for a while. That was 3 years ago. If you are under 11.5 compression ratio, the Ford ones do a great job.
