I have noticed. Specifically, the fuel injectors
are different colors. The '01 being orange and
the '04 being pink. Now, I have heard that the
orange ones are 19 lbs and the pink ones are 24 lbs.
Can anyone confirm this? And if so, would not the
throttle bodies be different sizes as well between the
two years? OR did Ford just change the colors for no
particular reason?

I believe the TB in 04 is an 85mm. The 01's are 80mm.

I hope you mean MAF and not TB...I think the stock TB size is 65mm.

Aren't the accessory pulleys different between those years as well?

The manual trans is also different. The first half of 01 cars have the older T-45, while the rest to 04 have the T-3650. In 2002 the cars have a little net holder above the rear view mirror, and the bullit styles rims have a lighter shade of grey.

Don't forget the badges! The 04's have the 40 year anniv. badge while the 01's have the GT badge. I could be mistaken, but I belive that anniv badge adds at least 12 horsepower.

For '04, the engine accessory brackets got strengthened.

There was more/better sound insulation for '04 too.

The A-pillars got thicker sometime between '01 and '03 (not sure when). That makes a difference if you intend to add gauges there.
