Hiya fellas, posted news of my V3 install complete with pics back in Dec. and had to postpone the everything due to the passing on of a dear friend of mine. I got the car finished in January and she runs great. Sorry I didn't post sooner, I needed some time. My bro was a Mustang guy as well and it sucks he never got to hang with me in the car all done up. Finishing the build actually helped get my mind off things and feel better about life. Mustangs will do that. Any ways here's some pics, I hope you guys approve and Enjoy.

P.S. The H.O. discharge tube is on the way and I already have the pulley upgrade waiting in the box. MSD 6al is in the fender and the Btm is already installed as well. She's running Bosch 42lb injectors so the crappy fmu is long gone since these pics and I installed the Boostmaster power inlet tube as well. She runs awesome. = )

Cool. I have the V3 Sci kit on my car too.

What are you running for a tune?

Sorry about your loss. That's gotta be hard to deal with, but I'm glad the build helped you cope. It's amazing how therapeutic these hunks of steel can be.

As soon as I took off the fmu I just adjusted this and that and she runs great, no chip or anything else. Waiting 'till next week when I upgrade to HO boost to tune her.

Thanks for the reply bro, I agree with you and love the way you phrased it. Not that I haven't had my share of beers since what happened but my car has definitely saved my mind.

Sorry for your loss man, I too lost a friend not that long ago. He wasn't a Mustang guy but it still would have been cool as hell to take him for a spin in my car. I know he would have loved it.

I love what you've done with yours, BTW. Love the supercharger emblems and I love how you did the job right and ditched the FMU.

I know exactly where you are at, man. I lost my uncle last week. As soon as I get in from offshore next week, I have to go to clean out his garage. Not looking forward to that at all.

Glad to hear that you are doing better and are happy with the car.

Thanks 88 I think the emblems kinda look like they belong. Also I think Vortech should include injectors and matching mafs with their kits 'cause its a whole different world once they're on. = )

My condolences Hoopty, I feel for you. My bro's funeral was one of the most difficult things I've had to go through as an adult. I was asked to be a pallbearer and had to decline, I could barely hold myself up let alone carry my bro. We were best friends since we were kids. All I can tell you is do what you have to... what you can bear and with time... and something to keep you busy (in my case my car) it gets better. You stop hating that he's gone and start remembering how lucky you were to have known him. Good luck.

Sorry about your loss, man. So you're liking the V3? I'm on the fence between a turbo and a Vortech, and the V3 kit is definitely appealing!

Hey brother, thanks for your thoughts. About the whole turbo/blower thing.... It's complicated. My opinion, that is. Way back in like '96 before everyone wanted a boasted a turbo car I was lucky enough to have Jake Lamotta and Jay Meagher of Lamotta performance build me a 93 fox body Incon Ststems twin turbo. Trust me it was awesome. It was actually my second turbo car, my first being a single big turbo 95 5.0 vert built by a guy named Lugo who took advantage of me 'cause I was a newbie and way overcharged me. He built me a car born to break (stock aod with a giant turbo, idiot) The Lamotta fox made just over 400 hp & tq at 10lbs boost and ran /felt great. She went 11.79 @ 118 on a stock bottom end, heads and intake !!! My v3 is just 6 lbs boost with aftermarket heads and intake for now but pulleys and dicharge tube are comeing soon. I like the sound of a blower and the motor/ open full exhaust better. Turbos make you more quite but pull like hell. Both are great for different reasons but at the end of the day boost is awesome anyway you can get it. Good luck.
