Hi, I need to buy spark plug wires for a 1977 Mach 1. They tell me I need to know the month it was made. The door sticker is missing so, what do I do now. I have been trying to figure out Identification tag by radiator. Nothing online to help. Thanks for any!

Vin decoder is the best way to check it out.
Need to see what is the number of vehicles made that year and the number sequence. find the half way point and that will get you closer to if it was early or late in the year

Restoration?
If it is critical then get a Marti Report, several levels of reports each giving more detailed info:

Marti Auto Works - Marti Report

A licensed manufacturer of true 'reproduction' parts for vintage Ford & Mercury cars, 1960-1973. Contact us for mail order retail sales, or wholesale account information.

Not critical, just nice.

http://mustangii.org/decoder/decode.htm there's a basic decoder, the more info you can fill in, the more you'll know about the car.

The difference is in the distributor cap.

If your plug wires snap into female terminals on the cap, you need the earlier wires. If your cap has male terminals that your plug wires snap onto, you need the later wires.

Early caps and wires look like this:

Later caps and wires look like this:

LineX coating with extra coating so it don't turn chalky grey, See the colored sparkles when the sun hits it.
