Well, after having a regular mild steel cage (like the pre-fabbed ones) and a chromoly cage, I will never do a mild one again. My current 10 point cage probably weighs about 50 lbs. My 6 point in my last car weighed about 100 lbs. I had a freind of mine (that does chassis work) do my cage and he did an excellent job! IMO a custom cage is the way to go. Then you can have it exactly as you want it. If anyone wants a custom cage let me know and I'll set you up with him.

I bet if a number of people got togethor and bought at one time Brad's Custom Auto would work out a deal on them.

I agree that chromoly is the only way to go. its 40 % lighter. and if you go with a custom cage you can get a good tight fit and a solid car. go check out jons at krazy koncepts.
