MM c/c plate owners.. What brand shocks you got?

I have MM c/c plates and strange adjustables all around. The rears are fine, but the front make so much "click click" type noise going over bumps I think my front end is going to fall apart. I tried to put up with it, but I've had it at this point.

I did research and found that the strut shaft is a hair smaller than the hole in the c/c plate bushing. This causes the shaft to move and hit off the sides of the metal bushing in the c/c plate. There wasn't much info on this issue two years ago when I bought them.

Needless to say, I am junking them because they are pieces of $#%$! What I want to know is what brand do you MM c/c plate owners have and do they may ANY noise when driving over even the smallest bumps.

I've heard tokico, kyb, bilstein. I have about a 1.5 inch drop and want something adjustable or stiff enough so I won't get tire rub or bottom out.

I have Bilsteins and notice a slight noise every once and awhile which I attributed to the solid bearing at the top of the strut now. I have Steeda Sport Springs which is def not 1.5" drop but it has been hardly noticeable most of the time. :nice:

In my 01 Bullitt I use HD Bilstein with my MM c/c plates without any noise at all. I have the washers/spacers on the top of the CC plates because I'm running MM road & track springs which drop the front but not as much as H&R ss springs.

Maybe you need to add some spacers to change the throw of the shock.

I have tokico illuminas 5 way drag shocks W/ steeda CC plates....thing makes a lot of noise at low speed and big CLUCKS over sudden bumps/holes. Shakes my whole darn dash and is loud as heck. I hate it....but I guess its a problem with everyones CC plates.
