MM CC plate install - couple of questions

Working on installing my MM CC plates...
Not sure how I can torque the strut nut to the specified 26-34 ft lbs because, of course, the strut spins. I removed it and installed it with air tools, but how do you properly torque it?
Also, any idea which combo of spacers to use above and below the plates? I understand their instructions, but it doesn't really give you a clue as to what combo you should use. My GT is dropped about 1.25".

What sort of struts do you have? There should be either a groove to put a flat head screwdriver (or other prybar or anything really) or a place for a hex bit. What you do is you hold the nut steady, then rotate the shaft with your torque wrench (flat head/hex bit, my bilsteins have hex at the top, my Tokico's had slot).

I just air gunned it down till it clicked, i never have a problem with losening on me.

basically for the spacers, if the top of the strut is hitting the hood just move them around so they dont contact

when i install struts i put in all the bolt and snug down the bottom bolts, then torque the top nut. that way it wont spin.

I installed mine a year ago so I don't rememeber exactly. I'm pretty sure I used 2 longer spacers and 1 shorter above the plates on each side. The rest are installed under.

As for torque of the tup nut, like was said already, if your using air tools just tighten it down with your impact and you'll be fine. Don't forget to use the new alignment specs given by MM. Helps the handling .

all they are trying to do in the kit is raise the strut back up the amount that you took away from lowering it,our cars dont have alot of travel when lowered but mm cc plates help us stay off the bumpstops,mm told me that they rate drops on mustangs with poly isolators so if you remove them then you might want to add another say 1/2" plus or minus,just dont be the guy that dont lower the hood slow to check,you will regret that im sure

Almost done - thanks for the advice guys. We went with a small spacer underneath and 2 big ones and a little one on top. Ck'd the hood clearance wit the pass side, it's fine. Just finishing up the drivers side now. These Gen2 SN95s have a HUGH notch in the hood for the strut...that helps.
With regard to torquing the strut nut, I'm just airing it down snug. With the strut spinning, as stated, it doesn't seem that over torquing will be an issue.
