Mobile 1 oil

Does anyone use mobile 1 snthetic motor oil? Do they make 5w-20 my book calls for 5w-20? Also I hear you dont want to run synthetic oil when car is new. How long should one wait before they consider running snthetic motor oil? This stang is a 2003 gt Centennial edition with 1100 miles on it. Please help !

Mobil 1

Mobil 1 claims that their 0w-20 synthetic is approved where 5w-20 is reccomended. Most people say to break in a new engine for 3000 miles before switching to synthetic. Ive used a variety of Mobil 1 products of the years and have been very pleased with all of them.

I use Mobil 1 and I am also pleased. Although I use 5w-30. Thats what is recommended in my book.

My new car oil change routine...


Change oil at 1k with Motorcraft 5w20 and Motorcraft FL820S filter.
Change oil at 3k with Motorcraft 5w20 and Motorcraft FL820S filter.
Change oil at 6k with Motorcraft 5w20 and Motorcraft FL820S filter.
Change oil at 9k with Mobil1 5w30 and Motorcraft FL820S filter.

Then change your oil according to your driving.

Nice schedule! I personally will wait till 3k then mobil1 5w 30 wll go in. Actually it really shouldn't matter as the factory fill for corvette, viper, and porche is mobil 1.

Been using Mobil 1full synthetic 0w-20 ever since I got the car. good stuff
