ive decided to start modding my car again, 00Gt 5sp, ive done the following:
4:10's, steeda tri-ax, kb subframes, kc clutch, steeda firewall adj., chip for speedo cal, flowmaster american thunder catback, mac h pipe w/ hi flow cats.
the engine, besides the mobile 1 is entirely stock. ive been saving my pennies for a while for more modding then to my surprise, the tax man gave me back alot more then i was anticipating which freed up more $ for mods :nice: . anyhow, i was thinking about these 3 mods: 1. CAI (K&N FIRP, or Densecharger) not sure which one though, dont care about looks, only performance and ease of install. 2. Accufab 70 mm tb 3. Accufab plenum. will these mods complement each other or should i skip 1 and do the other?? i got $500(+/-) to spend. this is just a weekend car that im looking to spice up a little at a time. thanks for any input.

CAI isnt gonna do jack maybe 2-3 hp. TB/plenum combo is worth 6-8 rwhp. Personally if I was you I would save a little more for some nice cams, but IDK how much you really want to mod it seeing as how u said its just kind of a fun weekend car. Performance wise cams will make the biggest difference. You can get some VT's for $600.

I agree with the CAI but did you think about a Steeda? They are pretty nice for the cash. I would also say maybe a set of pullies and skip the TB. The Plenum seems as if it is worth it but I think you will get just as much out of it without the TB. That is the little stuff, you could go with a set of Cams and then save a little more to have them installed. Nothing extreme just a nice mild street cam will give you some nice results.

thanks guys for the quick responses. will adding mild street cams as suggested make a sotp differnce in driving the car, in other words will i be able to tell a difference after they are installed?? what is the ballpark install price??
