I know its not wise to ask this on a stang only fourm but I figured the lot of you would know probably more then most fourms. I have a 96, 4.6L V8 in the Thunderbird. I know the engine is the same base as the stangs, with different cylinder heads, and higher compression pistons. I was wondering what are some of the simpler ways to draw out decent horsepower gains for the 4.6L. Ive considered fuel injectors, MAF, and Cobra intake. I also have ripped out and replaced the entire exhaust system getting rid of those stupid 3 Cat's and replacing them with 1 duel in duel out High flow catty. 2 3/4 inch pipe baby =). Any information your willing to share would be greatly apperciated.

ge PI heads and intake. the Cobra intake won't fit on the SOHC heads. fuel injectors aren't needed unless you are going forced induction or near 300rwhp. underdrive pulleys and a timing adjuster will add about 10-15rwhp total.

Thank you, so the first step for a serious increase would be to pull the bull'Kiss Me''Kiss Me''Kiss Me''Kiss Me' sohc heads, and drop some dohc? or a different set of SOHC? Im not hugely knowlegable about Ford engines quite yet. =). What heads are available? and prices if you know a range.
