Hi!

I just got a Mustang GT 2001 and it needs a bit more power. :nice:

1) What is the cheapest way? Ordering the parts from the US or from a shop here in Canada? What are the best places for the following parts?
- Short Shifter (Steeda or Pro 5.0?)
- Subframe Connector
- Slicks (And what brands for a track use?)
- Underdrive pulleys
- T/A
- Lower and Upper Control Arm

2) What is the best launch method with our cars in poor traction conditions? Do you launch at idle or if there's a special method of clutch slipping?

1)Well I bought 90% of all my parts from the US. I make my stuff shipped to an alternate US address. I drive there(1 hour) and I saved a lot of money that way..propably thousands by now. Where are you from exactly ? Although nobody beats the prices I'm getting, you could still get some pretty good deals around here, without giving you the hassle of crossing the boarder. Try BRENT at 2koolperformance.ca He's got pretty good prices on everything. If you order from the US and will not drive there, you're gonna get hit pretty hard with duties and taxes from UPS and FEDEX.

- I'd say Pro 5.0 cause I have one and is very strong.

-I got the Ford Motorsports full lenght subs which are actually KennyBrown. They're good enough for me and made the car much more stiffer.

-Tires just for tracks would be the Mickey Thompson ET Street or ET Drags. They're almost the same but the ET Street have some tiny "lines" which is suppose to be thread. You propably want to keep the 26"in tall tires like the stock height of the tires. All depending of your gear.

-All brand of pulleys do the job IMO. I got the mac but if I would of bought some myself, I'd of got some Ford motorsports one. (blue)

-Maybe it's too late but I cant figure out what T/A means.. :bang:

-Control arms. I got the regular non-adjustable ones because I didnt wanna spend that much on suspension. They're doing the job find though..But if you have the money, buy some Maximummotorsports ones.

Welcome to the boards BTW. :nice:
