Tonight(on a closed course) I raced a modified Evo. I dont know exactly what he had but His turbo was upgraded and had a rice pipe and looked like drag radials. It was a couple rich kids. But anyway somehow I got him off the line:shrug: I kept pulling all the way through third gear then missed fourth:nonono: But they probably would have got me anyway past that. After that they didnt want to race again though I kept on reving at them letting them hear the muscle and they wouldnt even look at us. I was surprised, but I do have proof my friend video taped it with his phone. I will try to get that soon. My car is a 96 Gt with 4.10's, King Cobra clutch, didnt have my drag radials on but have newer street tires on, triax shifter, Mac H-pipe and catback, plugs and wires, lowered, fenderwall intake, I know if I didnt have the 4.10's I would have got eatin alive but I also launched pretty good and got a good shift into second.

Yea some people said I should run high 13's on my drag radials and some say 14's or even 15's idk though. I think I had a near perfect launch. Maybe he was a bad driver:shrug: I cant believe I missed fourth:nonono: i think I could have shifted earlier into second and ound out second and third more idk though. Maybe I will get the chance to run one again. I knew they thought they were going to smoke me so it made it feel even better.

good driving but yea....if he drove it right, that thing would rape you :(

ECU, BOV, full exhaust and those new evo XI will F---ing hall ass like no other. i've seen them with ECU alone that added a giant amount of hp to the wheels...

Your correct these cars react very well to mods.
Sad but true if that spoiled rich kid knew how to launch that car
you would lose. :(
Glad to hear you know how to drive your mustang tjmaxx.:nice:

I'd say luck was on your side, plus the fact that you must be a really good driver and they must really suck - I'd say he should have been into the 12's with DR's and turbo upgrade. A '96 GT without too many mods up against a modded EVO should have been a total mismatch...I would think. But nice kill. :nice:

Yeah Im wondering if my car has something I dont know about done to it, because I havent done any of the mods to it. I bought it from a couple and the guy races in the NHRA so im going to ask him if there is anthing done to the internals or something. I think it was just bad driving by them though. On top end there would have been no competition they would have smoked me.

Only thing I didn't like about my 4.10's was the way it killed my top end by probably 20-30 MPH, but it did help me run a dead-even race (from a roll) against a Nitrous LS1 F-body. My Kenne Bell helped too. :nice:
