I saw in some magazine article Either 5.0 Mustang , or Maybe Modified Mustang. About a budget build where they modified the lifters to not give as much under load of heavier spring rates at the valves.

Anyone have this article where they can tell me the steps or perhaps the size and quantity of washers needed. I would prefer to do this since I just upgraded the springs on my E7's and would prefer to take advantage of them. Thanks fellas. Or if you even have a web link for it I would great appreciate it. Thanks

Daniel

really not needed, and depending on what spring pressure you are talking about a stock lifter will work just fine.

If you really need to keep the lifter pumped up due to spring pressures look into gettting a set of restricted pushrods. We've run stock hyd lifters with over 250lbs on the seat to over 8000rpm..... Just need to know what you are doing.

If they are old, replace them..... To be honest any spring that would warrant the lifter modification has no place in a E7 head.

Use a stock lifter and you will be fine.. What's your seat pressure?
