I didnt take notice how the crossmember sit while it was on the car. lol. Anyway does the higher hump go on the passenger side while the lower hump goes on driver side? Im pretty sure that the higher side is the passenger side. Just want to be sure. Next thing, Am i supposed to grind the tak welds off then slide it ALL the way back? Then throw a tak weld or 2 on? Thanks

oh, this is for a 1993 5.0 lx

Yes, grind the spotwelds down so it can slide back. Installed correctly the humps are designed to clear for the dual exaust so it should look like _/\__/\_ or something of that nature.

I would set the cross member in place before tacking. You can slide it as needed, mark it, then remove and tack.

Per the instructions on my new Ford FRPP crossmember, the higher hump goes on the passenger side.

Yeah the tall hump on the pass. side and grind the welds then put it back up in there and slide the crossmember back until you get it to line up properly and mark it then re-weld.
