Mods for my 1996 5 speed mustang GT

I say ditch the Throttle body. It will save you $200 and you will barely see the hp on a dyno, let alone feel it at all. Most people with your mods get about 2 more hp from a throttle body. Use the $200 and get a Timing Adjuster or some pullies (or at least a mod you will feel for $200). Now 1/4 mile times vary from person to person and car to car. A lot of practice helps, but also can cost you in the way of repairs (bad u-joints, seals, bearings, driveshafts being thrown out of whack). Also even though stangs all come out of the factory the "same", you will occasionaly hear of a factory freak.

If you are puting that much into the car spend it on a headswap. Search this site and others if you need to, but that would be your best bet without a doubt. brand new the parts will be about $1200, used it will be less, use leftover money for the gears, midpipe etc. if you have leftover. dont piss around with the little stuff if you have the money to spend and want to make power.

I say put cams in it then some gears. The cams will easily give you around 25rwhp (aftermarket cams not the PI cams) Next open the exhaust with an o/r pipe and 4.10 gears. The gears and cams will put you around $1000. My opinion would be to get the car to breath in more air (PI intake and cams) before you put the long tubes on to get the true benefits from them.
