Mods for my 86 GT?

Hey guys.

Just found this site, very nice.

I will be picking up my new 1986 Fox GT w/ T-5 this weekend. I am considering what all I could do at first for some cheap mods since my birthday is soon. I am thinking some M/T Street Radials on some Centerlines for firsts, but after that I'm all about the motor and the trans. What are some fairly priced mods that will give me the power I am looking for? I want to start off slow at first because I plan on upgrading to a 351w down the road. Up for any suggestions, thanks!

What's done to the car right now? Do exhaust, bump the timing, gears, shifter, and subframe connectors. That should be a good start. Welcome to Stangnet btw, it's a great place.

It has an exhaust, I'm gonna throw some 3.73's under it and get a Pro 5.0 Shifter.

Id like to do some trans work or maybe buy a new one but I should put some money into making it run a little better. I don't want to throw alot of money at the engine, but yet I don't want to have a racing trans and no motor.
