Instead of doing more mods I think its time for some upkeep on the mustang. It have an awefull delay in the acceleration for some reason so i hope to fix it. I was thinking of changing the plugs, pcv valve, fuel filter, brake fluid and coolant flush.. can anyone recommend anything else to do or suggest some good plugs for me to go with?

Also I was curious if I should go with an aftermarket plenum/TB. Sometimes when I stomp on it and I get a delay it seems like the motor is gasping for air.

Thanks!

I am glad to hear you are doing the brake fluid, many people never do it.

You might consider changing the diff fluid, how many miles do you have?

You should also clean your MAF.

You might also consider replacing the IAC, depending on milage.

Also, many step by step instructions to the things you are doing can be found on the Bullitt Archive.

One final thing, when you do the plugs, condition the rubber with silicone spray to get a nice watertight seal on the plug well and use silicone dielectric compound where the connection is made to the plug.

You are wise to spend money on preventitive maintenance instead of mods :nice:

It is all on the Bullitt Archive :nice:

Anyway, plugs - Motorcraft AGSF-32C (copper)

Use oxygen sensor safe spray cleaner on MAF or, even better, do it the way the Bullitt Archive says to...

well, I managed to clean that a couple weeks ago. Its really easy to do when its located in your fender well.....NOT! What a waste of 175 bux :(

However I did take off the whole system and put the stock intake back on and did notice a decress in performance....so I cleaned the filter real good and put it back on

I will check out bullitt archive!

anymore suggestions???
