Mods Wish List

What....no comments on the suspension ?'s. Tomustang....where are you?!?! I figured I'd get a MM vote from you.
Oh yeah  go for the Road/Track Box :nice: just make sure you take a ride in a tight suspension car first before you make a decision you may love OR hate the feel, although you do have options when choosing spring rates and stuff so it's builder friendly and MM will help you out to find your specific need

Remember the thread I posted "Make a Mustang handle like a Porsche?" I love the ride of the various Porsche's I've had the pleasure to ride in and drive. Not too worried about a stiff ride or anything like that, although my car is a daily driver, its to/fro work mostly, probably not do much long distance traveling in it. So if I can take the on-ramps at 80mph, I'll be happy! Maybe I'll just hold out on any suspension or stiffening mods until I can afford the whole Box.....or buy the different packs they have (stiffening, front, and rear).

And if she happens to buy the KB....I'd have to kill her...because I'm the one that makes most of the money and balance the checkbook....and know we can't afford it, but it still has to go on Santa's list!

Oh man, Bilsteins in the MM box will be MUCH better than the tokicos, don't get that confused :D

Thanks for that answer...I've been wondering that. If i get rims...I may do some springs for the drop to get the look, then upgrade to all the MM stuff later...and it will only be a loss on some springs.

I'm hoping to make most of it a reality over the next couple of years. The KB may or may not be dropped since it is a long-term goal...so many things come up...and by then I may just upgrade to a used 06' Cobra! I'm really hoping to get the cams in sometime down the road, but I don't know if I can do that myself...and I'm guessing it would be a costly install, although the cams aren't too bad on price.

Great list. hehehe louisville got rid of Echecks a few years back.
Do the gears, makes a world of difference. I knock down 24 mpg on the highway cruising at 80 mph with 4.10's and I average 20 mpg and that inculdes a trip to the track.
When it comes to setting up the suspension listen to Tom. He really seems to know what he is talking about.

:( OW! My pride

I thinkn it has a very nice tone... it's just really loud, so you have to listen for it. It'll sound nutts when I get some camms
maybe tomtom hasnt heard it with the II's and o/r X. i can see why people bash the LMI's, they arent for everyone. but the II's sound damn good and have just as much tone as the packs, stingers, flows or anything else ive heard.

:nice: That's what I think! yeah it's loud... well, loud as hell but they still sound good! They sound like classic muscle

list looks great. couple of small suggestions.

on suspention ask for parts that work well together. call MM and get their suggestions. to many people piece their suspensions from all over the map and end up spending just as much for an inferior handling ride.

on the exhuast you may rethink you parts. I would look at the vrs or magnaflow x-pipe as they are cheaper than the bassani. the steeda catback is nice but it is made by borla and you can get the borla stinger cheaper. the parts you have total up to $915. I think you could get a stinger vrs setup for about $800. would be louder though.

If you are getting a kenne bell you don't need cams. you can take you motor beyond its safe limits with boost only.

kb will come with tune. you may be able to oder it with the xcal 2 from modularpowerhouse or something.

:nice: great advice! ... although I thought the Borla Stinger was around 800$, so he might break even with the exhaust set-up

DocG2828,

Hola fellow Cincinnatian. Good luck on your list. And I was wondering if you have ever been to Edgewater with your stang?

Nah, not yet. Just got it about 2 months (wow been that long) and have had a few issues with shifter seal leaking and a busted cat (sounds like crap, and I think a little power loss). Probably will hit it in the spring, just to get some times. Been to strips before, but never Edgewater. You know much about that place?

To everyone else....I see what you're saying with the KB and the cams...since they're both probably future mods, it'll be one or the other, should have listed it that way. More likely the cam's than the KB cuz of price, but who knows! I've never done any engine work like that before, so I'd be afraid of fuggin' it up...but maybe by then my skills and confidence will improve to replace cams. Gotta be Stage II's....love that idle sound!!!!!!! Makes me hard.

The only reason I listed the Bassani X with the Steeda was becuase its the only one I've heard with the Steeda, and I've read alot of good things bout Bassani. I thought the Borla's were just as high too...from the prices I've seen, Borla's are the same or higher. The Steeda's are $579.

Thanks for the ideas!

Edgewater, pretty nice setup. I have run my bike and stang(RIP) there quite a few times. Its only about 10 minutes from my house. Was there last weekend, can't believe how fast those turbo neons are. Saw a AMC Gremlin run 12.80's. But anyway get r fixed and head on down.
