What is the best way to go about getting a built engine....just buying one of their stroker kits and slapping a KB on there or can you have a motor built with the forged internals and custom cams and heads and such? I know i will want to have a built motor so that i can have between a 450-550 HP range and i need to find the cheapest way to get there on a built motor with a S/C...Thanks for any help that can be provided in advance.

buy one of their 302 forged stroker kits and throw a KB on there you will hit your 500 mark easy.

Or buy their street/strip motor ($3000) and throw a KB 2.2 on it, and you'll make 600 easy.

I've heard from several people that a stroker and a KB 1.7 is a waste of money when you could spend it elsewhere to go faster.

For example, their street/strip motor, KB 1.7 and a 100 shot. Bam, instant hard on.

I would leave the stroker motors for centri's, but that's only if you have stock gearing. Get the s/s motor, Vortech and some 4.10's and you'll have a ton of fun.

if you have a builder there, then do it there. Shipping on a complete motor isnt cheap. I would much rather get the parts and do it myself locally.

Cheapest route to a safe 450-500rwhp is abuilt block,cams and a 1.7KB...

We have done it mutiple times..

Shipping a engine is not expensive..Getting it done local is a good option if a local machine shop has torque plates.If they dont(most dont for mod motors)its not a good idea.
