Money to burn .... Suggestions?

I now have a solid 3000 to spend. The auto tranny in the car never stood a chance. Should i go 5spd? or build an auto? And i don't really need to spend all of it on the tranny, just saying thats my tranny budget at max.

I also have about 1000 i can spend on brakes and or some diff work.

I feel like a kid in a candy store, so i need some suggestions

buy a tko and a swap kit than a nice brake kit

Depends on whether you're using it for mostly drag, or a combination of street/drag or autocrossing. If you're using it for mostly drag, you'll want to stick with the auto and just beef it up a bit - quicker shifts, no missed gears/over-revving, possibly a quicker R/T, and generally more durable than a built T-5. (For drag: built AOD > built T-5) Otherwise, the T-5 option is mostly for the fun factor, simplicity, and/or gas mileage, more than anything.
