Monster Tach Help

I have a Autometer 5" monster tach installed and when I try to set the shift point it won't adjust below 3500 RPM. It works fine while the car is running and as far as I can tell accurately displays the RPMs. Anybody know how to fix this problem or should I just get a new one

why would you want it that low anyways?it sounds like the reostat that is connected to the knob may be going bad.i would set the shift point around5-6k and run it unless you really need it below 3500.

Mine is the same way.. I think they come that way lol. Why would you set a shift point below 3500? Mine won't let it go below there. But im pretty sure its suppose to be that way..
