I am moving from Fredericton, NB to Calgary, AB on July 30. Our first stop will be in Ottawa. I've never driven through Montreal but have bad memories of it from when I was a kid driving through there with my parents. It doesn't look too bad on the map but I just have a question. I would be on the Highway 20 which looks like it goes right down and puts me into the tunnel. When I exit the tunnel it says to take exit 8 to get on the Highway 40. Is exit 8 easily noticeable, some say yes and others no. Does it say Ottawa (exit 8) or what does it say? Any help getting through this part would be appreciated. Thanks!

So you take the 20, and go straight which becomes the 25 (to the tunnel) and take 40 West (40 Ouest)... It's pretty easy.

Take the middle lane in the tunnel, the first exit to your left is to go downtown (nono don't go there). After you have Sherbrooke street exits.

The 40 Ouest will be on the left. It's pretty hard to miss.

Here is a traffic report link :)
