Spark plug flew out again. took threads with it. I called a bunch of machine shops and found only 3 that would do it without ME pulling the head. Anyway what the guy told me(one that wouldn't do it) was that the TSB to fix it was to increase the torque on the plugs from 13 to 26 lbft. I don't know if that's true but just thought I'd pass it along.

anyway, the machine shop is going to put an insert in the plug hole and they only charge me $27 for the insert and 3hours labor. bringing the total to just over $200...

The good news is my wife told me we're getting a new engine when I get home....:flag:

I fianlly got it figured out as to where they are but it seems like a real PITA to get to them. That silver rail going over them makes it difficult to get in there. i guess i will have to remove it.

This is the second one isn't it? Is it the same plug or a different one? If this happens to me i will jam the plug in someones eye...most likely the service manager who says they aren't responsible :)
