More Power

I just bought a new GT 5spd, I know there is a lot of power to unlock but I've been out of the Mustang loop for years. Anybody have any ideas on filter intakes, pulley sets, etc... nothing big like blowers just little bolt ons.

get a CAI and tune FIRST!! it will transform your car immediately. LCAs and gears next. do a quick search and you will find tons of info. just look at about any thread in the S197 forum!! mufflers will not get much power, just sound. for headers, get LONG TUBES ONLY, otherwise you are wasting your money. look at the exhaust threads, some combos sound really bad, others good. research well before you buy. look around here, thers plenty to learn!!

I'd recommend Tunable Induction's setup and tune. They have some of the best customer service and prompt shipping. They were ranked as one of the best (see all the magazine writeups on their website) induction systems. (tunableinduction.com) I got mine and wow! What a quality peice. Even the heat shield looked like it belonged in a glass display. Pullies are good for more power 8-10, but then there is the debate about your alternator and such having a shorter life expectancy. After mine went out on my SVT Focus w/ pullies, I'm staying away from that mod. Long Tube headers and exhaust would be the last mod(like 2k for the setup and install). I'd get gears and charge motion delete plates 2nd and 3rd after the induction and tune.
