Getting closer and closer to starting this thing agian. Still need to pick up a bunch of T bolt clampls, some silicone hose, new radiator, FMS throttle body, and ProM univer maf, oh yea, and some brakes, and a tranny cooler.

Should be running within 2 weeks or so. Gota stop myself from trying to make things look pretty, and concentrate on getting it running. Pretty looks can come later!

and yea, that innercooler is huge, probably too big, but well see how it does.
Im re thinking my turbo choice now. Its probably too small, but shouldnt have a problem making 500 to the wheels, although i would love more.

I'm so used to my 220 h/p car, this things gona feel like a rocket..
so stoked to get it going agian

What size turbo you running? Looks like a 50/60-something mm turbo, right?

Did you see blackmagic's numbers with the t66. 500 to the wheels will be very easy. I think he put down 600 w/ 1.5 bar.

I know what you are going through, making things look pretty. Since it's not your DD, take your time. Everyone says that they will fix things "later, after I get it running".

The fact of the matter is, if the car runs, I wouldn't touch it. I procrastinate way too much. Getting that "BEAST" would be my #1 goal too. I always say I will fix things later, but never do.

Good to see everything back together. That intercooler is HUGE!!!! Sucks to see the car dismanteled though. My friend took a picture of me w/ my transmission on the ground. Everytime I see that pic, I remember myself debating whether or not I would actually get the damn thing back in.

How much boost do you expect from the setup. If you get at least 1 bar, you should see 500 rwtq/hp.

WOW!!!! That looks so cool! You should buy stock in a tire company from all the rubber you'll be toasting!

Damn Mike, that thing looks sick. Please post more details!!! How did that K member bolt up? Were you able to reuse the stock bracing under there?

You have given me hope that I can do the same to my '90GT.

One more thing, do you think your idler pulley on the driver side head will give you problems? That setup looks like you have it attached with only 1 bolt... that would scare me that at high rpm's it would either bend the shaft or put excessive strain in one spot of that aluminum head and maybe "pop" it right out. I'm not knocking the way you did it, I'm just making an observation on something I see might be a problem for you.

turbo has a 66mm exhuast P wheel, yea i seen Blackmagic's numbers, nice stuff..
With an innnercooler, i wouldnt be scared to run over 15psi... atleast till it blows up

All the wiring, fuse box, ect is in the inner fenders, and inside the lower radiator support.

Tires, yea, smoking em, all through 1st,2nd and some of 3rd is fun stuff. Shouldnt have as bad as a traction problem off the line now, with the suspension work ive done.

New struts bolted up perfectly. Adjusted the camber by eye, and ride height. Im sure they will need fine tuned, and an alignment, but they went in and on fine.

Stock rearend shoudl work nicely. Worked great with the Vortech's power, and dont see a reason why the turbo would do it in any sooner. Its been rebuilt, so its all fresh.
Cars has an auto trans, without a transbrake, so its not very hard on the rear end. Im only worried about the tranny being able to take all the torque.

K member bolted up perfect, and the engine dropped right in its place like butter. No i wasnt able to retain the K member brace, but i do plan on making custom bracing underneeth. I was surprised how well it fit and lined up, on first try.

Im going to weld on a side support brace, to bolt the piece to the waterpump. Trust me, il have that thing very stable when im done.. Just put that on last night, and ran out of gas, so il get it welded up soon enough.
If it doesnt work, il make somthing better, of just buy somthing from march.. Wonder if a Fox a/c delete woudl work better, or even work?

Hey oink...

Looks great

Since you're trying to get that pig a little lighter..... Would you be at all interested in a set of Fiberglass doors and Fenders for that pig? I might happen to have a one of three ford prototype Shells with all glass body.....Gonna get some pics up of the fit and everything else. It is a vert

Just curious.

yea i have an aluminum braket i think might work.. it should go in the same location as stock. Damn MSD coil wire is so short, and that coil plug is short, so il just keep it in the factory location, or nearby

Some of you guys have way too much Disposable Income...for god sake we are at a state of WAR!!! and there are children starving in Somalia. With the $$$ you spent on your Turbo setup you could have fed a Villiage for an entire year. Can you sense the Jealousy in my Voice. Looks Sick by the way. GOOD LUCK!!!

well, ive got almost everything used, at steal prices, or parts have been acuired from trade deals, junk yards, or buddies, and the selling of my vortech( that was bought used also)
If i had unlimited funds, I would have certanly went with a real turbo ( not one that was cheap, and might work ok)
a real innercooler ( not one that was free, and is overkill), i would have a real fuel system, more suspesion parts, good tranny, rear end, Fast system, Dart block, Big heads, intake, cam, big injectors, ect.. But im not rich, and dont have those kind of funds, so i do it on a tight budget. Oh yea, and i do all my own interior work, engine work, paint work, polishing, ect.. so that saves alot
