IMO time of day is more important than oil pressure and all that non sense.

Do all of the autometer gauges have warning lights/sounds or only some models?

Mechanical gauges don't have "senders" really. The water temp one has a "sender" of sorts that is connected to a copper tube (surrounded by plastic or rubber) that fits into the lower intake manifold (no isolator necessary, or even possible). You may need (I did) a different adapter for the lower intake if you still have the stock one.

The oil pressure has a plastic line that runs from where ever you mount it, to the engine bay. There is a SLIGHT possibility (only if you really kink it, nick it, or it's really really old) that it will leak. The isolator keeps the oil inside the engine bay.

All of the autometer models really differ by their color and lighting really. I got the Ultra-lite 2's. I like 'em. I should have gone with C2's though, because they would have matched my car better.

Any more questions? I did this all about 2 months ago.

ok i have decided what i am going to use...

im going to use electrical gauges becasue..they will be much easier to install and i have talked to people with supercoupes and they have said putting in mechanical ones are a pain.... and my car allready has all the sensors for it so it will just be plug in and done..

for the oil pressure...

http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=ATM-4327&N=700+115&autoview=sku

for the water temp..

http://store.summitracing.com/partd...700+400442+300168+4294891600+115&autoview=sku

and the pod....

http://supercoupeperformance.com/partBrowser.aspx?category=38

Total=$127.90

plus paint for it to match my interior

whats that a switch drilled into the "foglight" option switch? i was thinking getting a gt switch set would be cool, to hide a nitrous switch in.. so instead of driving lights you could arm nitrous.. it would look factory.

Hope I'm not speaking out of turn for the owner, but it looks like an alarm system LED. That's a common spot for them in the fox bodies, something I saw a lot of in my car stereo store days.

Oil pressure and temp are the two most important..hands down. After them it's the tach all the way. You can't race and be consistent if you're not shifting at the same RPM ever time (and even if you think you can hear it that good, you can't hear well enough to hit the gears in the same RPM every time).

i may be a little late here, but honestly, my mechanical temp gauge wasn't any harder to install then any other gauge. lol the only problem is it say's im running at like 240 when my car shows absolutely no sighn of overheating at all who knows, maybe i'll be in for some crazy surprise when i pull the motor out.
