I was pulled over, and honestly i really don't know why on earth the cop let me go. I was at a red light in the middle of town, it was like 9 or 10pm alot of ppl. out. This is a 4 way stop light to the right are gas stations to the left a dark empty parking lot OR so i thought was empty. i'm in the lane closest to the dark "empty" parking lot. What pull's up next to me at this light a red GTO that i've been waiting to play with. Being in town i wasn't going to do anything dumb just alittle show of power and the GTO was gladly going to show alittle of what he had. Light goes green and i smashed the pedal down as did he 1st, 2nd went by in smoke i left off as i got to 3rd the GTO and i exchanged thumbs up. And i thought we was done.

Well up ahead is a big staples parking lot and there's a cop sitting in there. I told my g/f god damn good thing he didn't see what we just done cause i know he heard me. I'm laughing as i think haha cop you didn't......................as i look up in the rearview mirror there's a cop BEHIND me. WTF where did he come from he wasn't behind me at the start of all this . I tryed to look innocent you know what you do when you know you've been caught and that time between when you done the deed and when the lights come on. Sure enough the lights went on and we're being pulled over.

Cop comes up and i'm being a dick cause i know the ticket will be alot and the cop will be an *******. Boy was i wrong, he comes up and and says

Cop: Sooooo what do you have done to make this thing do that
Me: Ummmmmm this that blah blah blah
Cop: Yeah you know that dark lot over there by the stoplight i saw you do everything what was yo udoing
Me: well there was that GTO next to me we was showing off alittle
Cop: Didn't see the GTO you shouldn't do that in town where i can catch you cause if i see you doing that i gotta pull you over.
Me: oh sorry

He ask's if i had any tickets in the past year, i said no i don't think so. He takes my info an goes to his car. By this time there's other cops have showed up it looks like a drug bust or something. He comes back about 10min's later and says

Cop: Here ya go i'm going to let you off with a warning
Me: Are you ****ting me
Cop: Nope but you should take this to the track

We talking for a few min's about the track and how the cops have a track car being built their going to drag race with. I told him thanks i'm putting the car away for the night and i left

I really do think cops have a soft spot for fox-body's. I've always gotten commented by cops about my car. A cop in my town has a navy blue two tone car. My best was when I went peddling the hell outta 2nd gear in the rain past a cop. He comes up to my window, "Got a little traction problem through all them gears back there?" Me, "naaahhhh that was just a little bit of second officer" he laughed and dropped the points at court for my careless driving that he wrote me. ahh the good ol days.

Back when my car was still auto and I had just finished some engine work I went out to dinner near the mall with some friends. When we left we were sitting at the light and I was the only one in my car since we all met up there. Light turns green and I hit it a little too hard and the wheels break loose so I figure, what the hell and carried it throught the intersection wheels spinning and I was making a left turn which ended up being a sweet drift instead of a turn. Well there were a bunch of cops around somewhere that I didn't see and they pull me over yank me out of the car, throw me on the hood and are frisking me and I'm thinking "what the hell, all this for a burnout?" The cop is just giving me the riot act and threatening to take me in etc...no registration by the way. So finally he take my license and is checking things out. He finally comes back and apologizes and says that stores around the mall get robbed all the time and they thought I might have robbed some place. Got a ticket for doing a burnout. Best part of the whole story is, My dad was out at the time and missed a turn going to the post office so he ended up passing me while I'm sprawled out on the hood of my car as he is circling the block. It was a good laugh in the end.

OK, so I was 17 I just had bought my first mustang an 87 lx hatch.My parents

were out of town in Tunica, Mississippi for the weekend and I had a huge party at

my house. I had to work the next day and I had just started at a shop doing oil

changes and basic services. I set my alarm after a late night and early morning of

drinking and I ended up waking up by myself without the alarm. I woke up looked

at the clock and it read 7:00 when I had to be at work at 7. I ran as fast as I

could got ready and told my friends to make sure the house was clean and they

could stay as long as they liked. I ran to my car fired it up and like a dummy put it

to the floor and took off up the street. Outside of my neighborhood was a

completely straight two lane highway that I always flew on. I did the hardest hole

shot I ever did in that car at the time and took off. I just got over alittle hill on the

road and was slowing down in 4th. I saw passing me in the opposite lane a Dark

Blue Crown Vic my heart immediately sunk and I had a lump in my throat. I was

praying please be a grandma or grandpa. I look in my rearview mirror and see

nothing but smoke rolling from the rear tires of the Vic. I've never seen someone

lock up the tires like that and turn a car around on a small two lane road and

keep it on the road at the same time so fast. So I'm freaking out at this point I

get to a small private road and turn down it. I park my car and wait to see if he

saw me or passed. Thinking I should've just kept going and he would've never

caught me considering my 85 mph speedo was pegged so much that it was

bouncing off the trip. The State Trooper gets to my car walks up and says,"Guess

what buddy? Your going to jail!" He then proceeds to tell me that he should pull

me out of the car and drag me down to the end of the road and beat the living

hell out of me. He sets me in the front seat of his car and tries to call me house. I

proceed to tell him that my parents are out of town praying that one of my drunk

friends doesn't answer the phone. He then writes me a ticket for 101 in a 55 and

sends me on my way. In one hand I'm happy I'm not in jail and in the other I'm

thinking how am I going to get this fixed. I go to work only to find out I was one

hour early and that I had set my clock drunk and set it completely wrong! My

friend ended up helping me with alittle money to get a lawyer and the lawyer

couldn't fix the ticket because of a new law. I end up paying the fines and the

ticket must have got lost or something because it never ended up on my record. I

lucked out and still learned a big lesson.

i was in my mustang, my buddy was in his girlfriends sunfire, we're on a street that the speed limit is 80 km/h and we are screwing around. hitting the gas then slowing down jus for fun. well we go through this one intersection and we were going about 120 km/h and there was a cop sitting at the lights. i didn't see him but my buddy did and he slowed down. the cop follows us for about 5 mins and finnally pulls in between us (i was leading) and pulls me over. he says "you were going alittle fast back there eh?" i said "ya it kinda got away from me for a second". so i give him my lisence and registration and he walks back to his car. he sits there for a couple minutes and then pulls beside me and his partner gives me my registration and says "nice car son, just try and keep it under control, have a good night" i said "thank you officer" and went on my way

I love all these stories.
Me and my buddy (bentley429) pulled onto a highway on ramp at night, and we both hammered on it. Sideways through 1st and 2nd, held it to the top of 4th, close to 120mph (I donno, my 85mph speedo was pegged on the trip button). So we shut it down, put it in 5th and start cruising around 70mph. About a mile later, I see headlights coming up on us that are hauling ass. My adrenaline is rushing, and I wasn't thinking, so I just assumed it was someone else that saw us do it and wanted to run or something, so I drop into 3rd and get ready to go. Luckily I didn't hit it, because apparently it was a State cop. He whips in between me and my buddy, hits the lights, and we pull over. As soon as I saw the light bar, I was convinced we were going for a ride in a cruiser. I'm trying to figure out who to call to bail me out, how to get my car back, all this bs. The cop runs up to my window, pissed, and yells get out your license, reg, and insurance card, I'll be back. He goes up to my buddy's car, and 2 more Staties pull up behind me. Now I knew we were screwed. Another cop takes my info, asks wtf we were doing, if we were racing, etc. He said all 3 of them watched the whole thing, I'm not sure where they were. Then the 3 cops get together behind my car and talk for a little while, and I can hear them saying stuff about damn mustangs street racing and doing burnouts and all that. The cop that took my info comes back to my car, hands me my info, and tells me to get out of there. I will never know why 3 Staties let us off, but I'm much more careful of my surroundings now when I'm messing around.

Lucky

My girlfriend and I were driving across town to eat dinner. About halfway to our destination, my buddy pulls up next to me in his '86 5.0 LX and revs up his engine at the first of several stoplights. I was surprised to see him and BS'd with him while stopped. At the next set of lights, we decide we were going to have a little drag to last light. The light turns green and off we run - right past a fire station and stop at the last light. While waiting for the green, I see a red car with a lone gumball flashing on the roof pull out a number of cars back and instantly think it's the fire chief. The stoplight turns green and we found out it was a set of detectives in an unmarked car and they pulled us over at the next side street. I get the driver and my buddy gets his partner. The conversation went kinda like this:

Cop 1: I see you were testing out you high performance back there.
Me: (sheepishly) Yeah.
Cop 1: Driver's license please.
Me: Here it is.
Cop 1: I'll be right back.

(Friend's conversation)
Cop 2: License please
Friend: Here
Cop 2: You racing that guy?
Friend: Uh, sorta
Cop 2: How fast were you going back there?
Friend: (shrugs) 50?
Cop 2: (laughingly) My grandmother's station wagon will go faster than that! Try again.
Friend: 60?
Cop 2: We figure at least 80. I'll be back.

A few minutes go by and they both get out.

Cop 2: Slow it down. I don't want to catch you doing this around here anymore.
Friend: Yes sir. Thanks.

Cop 1: You have to slow it down around here.
Me: Yes sir, I will.
Cop 1: Here's your license. Oh, and tell your friend that you had him by 3 car lengths.
Me: Yes sir, I will. Thanks!

Only verbal warnings for the 2 of us!

well, i have one, but the cop wasnt pulling me over:

every friday night theres a huge car show at this sonic a few miles from my house (spring/su,mmer time). Now this is more of a gathering then a car show, everyone's here, terminators, show trucks, hot rods, ricers, everything! anyways these past few years the show has been getting so big that cops will come and regulate. well me and a friend were hanging right by the entrance for the sonic (the gathering streches far beyond that, but this was the main entrance) kinda next to this cop, well as this mexican guy in his cholo'd out ricer comes in, the cop stops him and goes to his window and says

"listen here kid, if i see this piecs of **** on the road tonight at ALL, your ass in mine, you got that"

and the driver was like "ah, jes sir"

lol ricer ownage at it's finest, we were laughing about that all damn night.

My favorite was when i got away, i was late for class and driving at least 80 in a 50 blow past a state cop. I watched him turn around in the rear view and he effed up, he pulled completly of the road and was now no longer in sight, so i nailed it knowing i could hide behind the gas pumps at the cardlock commercial fueling station just ahead, and i had a card so if he caught me no big deal, i made it, he keep driving cherries and the siren on, i felt like Burt Renolds it was great.

Then bandon's police chief pulled me over, said i was going 75 in a 55 it was more like 90, and told me to slown down and tell my dad hi, small towns are not all bad

once i was pulled over just after i gave it a little rompin. at least just enough to kick it down a gear. cop said he just set up radar and couldn't get me locked in but he was a "licensed speed guestimator for the state of kansas, and he figured i was goin about 52 in a 35!!!" i kid you not!

i was 16 and scared since that was the first time i'd been pulled over. now i look back and just bust up laughing that he actually told me that!!

I got another one. I was up at college my Junior year and I had a 93 Prelude. It was a 5 spd, fairly fast for a Honda and I had pretty much every bolt-on you can do to a Honda. It wasn't riced I promise. Anyway Me and my chica at the time take a drive out on this long curvy road out in the middle of nowhere that leads to a ski resort eventually. After about half an hour we turn around to head back and hit the twisties again and about a mile or two before the road straightens out I come up on some car that is crawling. He's driving maybe half the speed limit for no reason at all so I just get a comfortable distance behind him and follow since I can't get past. Well he apparently thought I was too close so he kept slowing down and hitting his breaks and I wasn't even close to him. He was seriously startign to piss me off, so as soon as the road straightened out I dropped to 2nd and floored it into the oncoming lane to pass and as soon as I do he starts to speed up to try and match me, but I blew by him and just kept my foot down as he tired to catch up. I got way ahead and let off around 95 cuz I see headlights about to come over a hill in the distance from the opposite direction. Meanwhile the guy I passed is still hauling ass playing catch up. Sure enough, the car comes over the hill and it's a cop. I passed him doing about 80 and I knew he was going to come after me so I nailed it hoping to get to some neighborhoods up ahead and lose him. He goes to turn around, but has to wait for the guy behind me who is still haulin to pass him. By this time I'm a mile down the road but can still see everything behind me. Cop turns around finally and pulls the jerk in the other car over. Sorry that was long

One Friday night I was working on my Mustang and just finished up putting in the tranny. It was late and I was tired. I hit the shower and went to bed. I figured I would take it to work on Sat the next day on its test drive. I work 45 minutes from my house. Sat morning came and I rolled it out of the garage and hit the highway to work. I was the only one on the road. I looked around and slowed down to 15 M.P.H. I hit it in 1st gear and proceded to power shift 2nd-3rd-4th all the way to 6700 r.p.m. I ran it out in 4th to 7000 R.P.M. Then I let off and slowed down to 55 m.p.h. A mile up the road I see a statie comming up at warp speed. He pulls me over and started yelling at me. Asked how fast I was going. I said 55. He said he estimated me at 80. He wanted to know what I was doing. I told him I was testing it out while no one was around. I Gave him my license and registration. He went back to his car and came back 10 minutes later. Gave me back my papers and said slow it down. No ticket or anything. I laughed all the way to work. I was going 125 in 4th at 7000 rpm. I have 4.30 gears and that is where it tops out in 4th.

I have a funny one. I stop at a Chevron to get gas, while I'm filling up my wife goes inside to get a drink and pay for the gas. She comes out, we leave and get back on the freeway. About 10 miles down the road there is a sheriff sitting along the road. I go by and he pulls out and follows us. Couple more miles down the road, another sheriff. Sheriff 2 catches up and the lights go on. I'm thinking what the heII, I'm not speeding. I pull over and he comes up.

Cop - "Did you get gas at the Chevron."
Me - "Yes"
Cop - "I have a report that you did not pay."
Me - "Yes we did. I have the receipt." I get the debit card receipt from my wife and give it to him.
Cop - Looks it over and says "Oh sorry for the inconvenience, Have a nice day"

We get to where we are going and I start to think. I get the receipt from my wife and sure enough only the drink was on there. The gas station screwed up and never charged us for the gas. The sheriff looked at the receipt and never noticed it was only for a 99 cent drink. Duh!!

I actually stopped at the gas station on my way home and paid. I told them what the cop did and they actually apologized and gave me a free works car wash for coming back in.

my buddy & i got pulled over in WV, by OH cops. turns out that's illegal on the cops part. they found out that part in court
