For those of you who are trying to decide if you want Underdrive pullies I offer up this alternative. I didn't want any of the problems associated with a complete set of UD pullies. So for $49 I bought just the WP pulley from Motoblue.

My butt dyno is well tuned and I could tell it had more past 3,500rpms.

No to mention since my crank pulley is stock it isn't underdriven enough to overheat.

Did you ever notice that guys that reply about bad things about underdrives are the guys who state "from what I've heard"..."I think"..."my friend". You would get more bang for your buck with a complete set of underdrives. Problems with underdrives are rare...Just my .02 cents.

Is the MotoBlue water pump pulley more of an under drive than the one that comes from steeda?

The Motoblue water pump pulley has got to be small if it fits with the stock crank. A full set of pulleys at the most will add 10 rwhp. At the most you got like 3 rwhp from it.

The pulley is 22% UD, Which is enough that if I had my full set on you couldn't tell between the two.

I was only posting because I didn't feel the need to run full UD pullies. The other uy that bought one with me 2001 GT (very near stock) seen about 4.5 HP and around 5 FtLbs in TQ. For under $60 thats a hell of a gain.
