Yep, I'm an idiot. Here's what happened; I have an 01 Cobra, after messing around a week or so ago with another guy on the road I noticed a coolant smell. Apparently a too long stud on the upper passenger side of the firewall had been pressing and rubbing on one of the coolant lines that run into the heater core. After replacing the hose and trimming down the stud all seemed fine except for the lingering coolant smell which I figured was coming from what had leaked out after the line burst and during the repair. Brilliant me decides on a whim to stop by a self serve car wash since I got an hour to kill while waiting for one of the kid's soccer practice to end. I sprayed the rear passenger side of the motor, mainly around the heater core hose inlets. I'm sure I got other things back there plenty wet. The car started up fine and ran fine the next couple of times I took it out. Yesterday while coming home I noticed it seemed a little down on power and the exhaust note burbled a bit differently. I revved it up a bit and it definitely seemed to be running on less than all eight. I hooked up my code scanner and got nothing, any ideas on what I got wet back there that caused this? I'm an old muscle car guy who isn't very up on the electronics of these Cobras. Thanks.....Mark.
