I have a question on which motor mounts to purchase. I was thinking energy suspension, but is there anything else out there better? The motor mounts will be going on a long block that Rick(RNH) built for me. I'm just waiting to get the rest of my parts from Rick. Then either next weekend or following week the motor will get installed. Any ideas?

I say go with ES or Prothane motor mounts.

Never had solid mounts before but how would they compare to poly?

Solid mounts shake the sh** out of the car, pretty much up until 4k. My friends stang had them in and it rattled his starter bolts out twice.

Thanks for the info, I will take a look at the prothane's.How much should I expect to pay for ES ones?

I think the ES ones are more expensive. I dont know if that means there better or just the name. I bought mine from summit racing. They sell both brands.

I think both ES motor mounts and ES trans mount are 150-ish all togehter. Dont forget crossmember bushings (15 bucks or so) if doing the trans mount too (might as well renew it all if doing most of it).

So why not use the energy suspension mounts?

Just wondering cause thats what i just ordered while my trans is out of the car.

the es are good but they shake a hell of a lot more than stock, but it's hard to tell unless the hood is up
