didnt have fun with the gapless rings but all in all the worst is over now.

That Hybrid is a tight fit i did have to turn the compressor housing...but it will have to come off to do plugs and 90* spark plug boots will be needed. now i need a DP/WG and stingers lines,Fuel pump/regulator and radiator/fan from 4.0 Explorer and im rolling.

Lookin good!!
Does it look like you'll need a speacer for the turbo to clear or can you rotate the housing as needed?
Sorry if this is a simple question but I'm guessing since only one pic loaded.

might sound funny but every day more and more I want to find a nice clean 4 banger (hopefully a Notch) and make it a little sleeper

those have common HG problems....but if you were closer our JY down here has a turbocoupe full motor and trans for like 150 and a buddy has another TC motor on a stand he is about to throw away..and we also have a ranger/mustang 2.3 laying on the ground also...if you were closer we could help get you started on your 2.3T conversion.

Well i had to rotate the compressor housing to clear the valve cover. but that hybrid is huge...so in order to change plugs the turbo is gonna have to come off and 90* spark plug boots will be needed.

I have to do the same for plugs, but because it doesn't run much its easy to get off. I added a 1" spacer and Now Im able to turn the compressor around anywhere I want.

I have two extra turbo 2.3's (on stripped of accessories, the other being the mostly complete old engine from my TC) and I'm not gonna throw either one away! I'd like to take one of them and build it up eventually.

If I wasn't going to school and I'd be around I'd drive down there and scoop up those parts

Thanks Roland

88stangmangt- do you have an address for the JY near you? I'd like to start collecting parts for a turbo build.
