Motor Swap????

Im about to swap motors in my 89 coupe and was wondering if i would be able to install my new motor with my AOD tranny already mounted to the block?? Just figured this would be easier then trying to lift the tranny and mount it after the block is installed. Sort of a killing two birds with one stone deal.

If you have a tilt engine crane, then ya you can do it that way. I've seen tons of people remove and install motors with the tranny attatched.

what if it isnt a tilt engine crane? can it still be done but be alittle more difficult? Also how do i know if it is a tilt engine crane i am barrowing the picker from a friends father so im not sure if it is or isnt. thanks
