Hey everybody I currently have a 96 GT and am wanting to make the switch to 4v. If I buy a mark viii motor complete, then buy some C heads will they bolt on and then could I use all the front timing components? (chain, tensioner, etc). Also I wanna get a stock eaton from a cobra and use it. What would I need to make that work? How difficult is it to use the stock GT harness with this setup? Thanks in advance.

This may answer some of your questions.

2V to 4V Swap

Obviously by going the Mark VIII bottom end route you know you won't have a forged crank, rods, pistons. The C heads will bolt up, not sure on the timing cover question. You compression will be a bit higher than the 03/04 cars.
