Will a flex fan work with a motorsport aluminum radiator in foxbodies. Or would it be cheaper to go with a heavy duty 3 core with the flex fan. Looking for a economical cooling issue for my 91 supercharged lx. Open to suggestions for a good cooling combo.
More info would help - where do you live (ambient temps), is it a DD? Stuff like that.
I would not want to run a flex fan in a DD. The stock thermal clutch is hard to beat, IMHO. Or go with an elec fan set up (Mark 8 or Viper would be my choice for a blown car). Spal makes some thin profile fans too (which reportedly perform very well).
With the radiator - up to you. I am not familiar with the FMS radiator. The 3 cores do very well (GDI or Modine). Or grab a nice 31 X 19" alum radiator for under 200 beans.

I live in Virginia, the weather doesn't get too awfully hot up here. I just need something better than stock that bolts in without a hassle. The car is not a daily driver, but the temps get too high for my taste. It gets up almost to the second notch on the temp gauge.
I see the 3 core "heavy duty" are running around $115 on ebay. Would a 94-95 stang elec fan work with one of these????

As you know, a real temp guage might be a good idea (nothing like making decisions based upon a lame gauge). Yep - an SN95 elec fan should work fine (I would want a 3G alternator). To do it right, a variable fan controller would really work well with that fan.
