I just got back from the sandbox after a few months, only to find that my car (wich was stored in a barn) has mouse/rat feces all over it. I know I can vaccum that crap out, but I'm worried about the urine on the liner. Does any one know a way to completely sanitize this other than getting the liner shampoo'd? If not any one know where to get a new liner other than at ford? I did a search on the net, but really couldnt find anything. (Oh I'm running an 03 Coupe) Thanks in advance.

Personally, I'd head over to the local pet store and look for a product there. I'm certain they have something to fit your needs. In fact, if memory serves, theres a product called Natures Miracle that is supposed to neutralize pet stains/odors etc. Give the pet store a go and see what you find.

Well I finally got the insurance company to listen to my claim, only one problem, they wont cover the destroyed non vehicle items (and even if they did they wanted to file it as a separate claim to keep it from costing more than my deductible) What asses Well 100 bucks to completely remove my interior and scrub a dub dub not too bad I guess... though they are going to replace my trunk with Dynomat for free because I just got back from Afghanistan Some compaines rule, and some suck ass. Thanks for the unput guys.

If you are going to keep the trunk liner instead of replacing it, you could try Febreze spray to deodorize it. But it would be easier to just replace it. If you know someone in the detailing bizz ask them if they have an ozone generator. One or two treatment with an ozone generator will eliminate any odor.

Its not so much the smell I was worried about, more the diseases and what not from mouse excrectia, but I'm getting what wasnt destoyed thouroghly shampood and cleaned, and the spare tire liner has to be replaced because it was chewed into a giant nest... I hate mice... even Mickey and Minnie now

Well I thought they were only in the truck at first but the day after I noticed the trunk, I found a few more "presents" under each front seat It sucks all the money I made while deployed has to go into "cleaning" my car now. Such is life though.

Natures Miracle is wonderful stuff! Along with "kids and pets" my last girlfriend is the rescue rep for a local dog breed club, and we got some untrained dogs every now and then and that stuff works.

True, but we dont like to think about those things yeah? Theres a plaque on the wall where I came from that has a list of names on a month to month basis, you have to look at that while waiting for your freedom bird home. You may not know (or you might) how much it sucks to sit in a military terminal for 12 hours with nothing to look at but a list of guys/gals who didn't get to sit in that terminal. I am grateful to be home, but now I am and I'm pissed about my car

I saw a liner for sale on ebay this morning for a dollar.

I stored my car over the winter also. When I started my car up I had smoke billowing out from under my engine. I was freaking out. Come to find out...there was mouse poop on the tops of my headers under my car.
