I want to move the battery to the trunk.

The battery tray is totally corroded, I'm in the middle of a big restor, so now is the time to do it.

I bought a battery box from Sacto Mustang which includes most everything that I need.

The question is, where's the best place to put it. It says that I should bolt it to the frame which is simple enough.

Any pictures would be appreciated.

Thanks
PJ

I did a search with the words "battery" and "trunk". Here are some past threads that came up.

I hope this helps.

I personally have mine in the right corner to help with traction.

Quick hi jack....I recently was going to do the mod myself but the salesperson said that if I were running a bottle in the trunk as well, the battery must be contained and vented to the outside. He added that the nitrous bottle must be vented outside as well.... To meet any track regulations. I have yet to call my local track, but I definetly dont want to go out next time and be sent home...

Bottle or not, your battery should be mounted in a approved NHRA box and vented as well as the bottle having a blow off tube.Only NHRA tracks enforce this though, other may not.
