Moving to sisters

I was offered a job with the Sisters-camp Sherman Fire district. I will start sometime around november 1st.

Its going to be a big move for my and my family. But its probably the smartes move career wise for me. I have been looking for a job in the fire service for around a year and a half. I was hoping to move on to a department closer to where I currently live, but I am happy moving to Sisters. I just hope my family and I can cope with the higher cost of housing. Its pretty much insane.

Anyways, thats what is new with me.

I've never been to Sisters. How far is that from where you live now?

Its about two hours.

Its beautiful over there. The views are amazing.

Say hello to my Brother-in-Law and my Mom & Dad at Bridge 53, they're ashes are spread on the hillside there. Congrats on the job...it's an absolutely beautifull area.

well its pretty much official. The last hurdle will be passing the psych test. I should pass, the last one I had was for the prp program when I was in the service, and they said that I had no psychopathic tendencies at that time.

I will be starting on the first of november.

Congrats! I always liked Sisters. Its a nice little town. Not too far from Bend.

You are doing the right thing man, as anything with Police, Fire, EMS is just getting hired on somewhere and getting the experience. By doing this you are going to be putting yourself head and shoulders above the competition when you decide it's time to move back closer to Portland or larger areas.

It's a beautiful area and there are tons and tons of things for your kids to do all year round up there and I am actually kind of jealous of you.
