Ever since I have strated keeping up with the mpg for my car (about 2 years) it has not gotten above 14mpg. All of that has been mostly city with very little highway. It is usually between 12-14mpg. Today I started my trip with 13x miles and just above a quarter tank. After just about 113 more all highway miles I averaged 16.8mpg.

On the way home I kept my speed between 65-68 only slowing down and stopping at 4 redlights. Rpms staying right below 2k. When I filled up after 75 miles I averaged 23.25 miles. :)

So, I think my highway mpg is right, but my city is not. I do not drive hard, and when I do it does not seem to change much, if any at all.

Aode
Gutted Mac-h pipe, with flowmasters
Car has stock 3.27s

I have gotten new
edge 3k stall
Have 255/315 tires on 17/9 & 17/10.5 wheels
plugs, wires, cap, rotor
Both o2 sensors or new
timing is on 10
get no codes
tire pressure is 35psi
cleaned maf, with new filter
fuel filter and seafoamed
new idler pulley

^ none of this helped make it better.

What could I be looking for that would make city bad, but highway right? I think its supposed to get 23 hwy

i think your edge 3k stall will cause the city m.p.g. to be alot less than factory specs and hwy specs will be closer to factory spec.

With the stock converter I was getting the same mpg.

After looking back, my mpg has picked up a little from all of that stuff. At one time I was getting 11 mpg.

this may sound silly, but have you checked for any fuel leaks?

alittle. I have looked around the gas tank but thats about it. When I first got it I had to replace the filler neck rubber. I dont know what it is called.

But I guess stopping and going in the city could slosh some out maybe.

Should I just look all up under the car or do I need to drive it some first or what?
