Mr. Gasket Thermostat 180*?

That's what I have. Been doing just fine for about 3 years now. I'm sure it'd be fine at the track as well.

Some folks have reported issues with the newer ones. I have no idea if it was user error or what.

I have their older ones in my cars and would run them again.

No matter the brand chosen, a balanced stat is the way to go.

I've used one of those for years. It has been the best cooling mod I have ever done. Your engine will definately run cooler. The only down side is that not enough of the water flows up to the heater core, so your heat won't work very well. Not that I think it would matter where you live.
